Communities find feet

Central Canterbury communities have had a rough ride – earthquake upon earthquake, EQC and insurance battles with huge family stress – all on top of undermined democracy.

Suburb by suburb people have found each other, as the main support in difficult times. Neighbourhood organisations are flourishing which characterises ground-up recovery.

How can we carry this community strengthening forward, for safer and better futures for our children, for quality environments that sustain us?

This year central government is allowing more public say, through limited regional elections. The city council also has a new representation system in place.

  • Make sure you are registered to vote
  • Research the issues, the policies and personalities, then HAVE YOUR SAY

Never has it been more important to play your part in building a strong and sustainable Canterbury community economy.

  • In 2016, support everyone, every way that you can – please VOTE
